Thanks, Jonas, for another great early review and insight into one fo Fuji’s newest WR F/2 lenses, the 50mm f/2. First, although you said you didn’t have as much time to use this lens before writing this review, the examples you have here show off this new lens’s capabilities and that it can be a very handy lens and 75mm field of view indeed.
Fujifilm has a couple of 35mm F2 lenses for lighter carry—the XC 35mm F2 ($199.99) is a bargain and the XF 35mm F2 R WR ($399.99) uses the same optical formula and includes weather protection

The Fujifilm XF 50-140mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR is up there with the sharpest lenses Fujifilm has on offer. The 56mm f/1.2 and the 90mm f/2 are perhaps the sharpest Fujifilm lenses I have used, and the 50-140mm gives them a run for their money across the entire zoom range. The corners are perhaps a tad soft at f/2.8 but you have to look to see it.
It has better bokeh, and has more microcontrast, probably because of the new design which has added enhanced resolving power for use with the new 24mp X-Trans III sensor in the X-T2 and X-Pro2. XT2 – XF23mm f/2 – f/5.6 – 1/3200s – ISO200. The 23mm f/2 WR is sharp and has great bokeh through the entire aperture range.
The first is the new FUJIFILM XF 8-16mm f/2.8 R LM WR lens with a 12-24mm equivalent field of view and the FUJIFILM XF 10-24mm f/4 R OIS WR, with its 35mm equivalent field of view of 15-36mm. Somewhat rare for such a wide-angle lens, the 10-24mm features optical image stabilization to assist with steady images under challenging lighting conditions.

Fujifilm calls this the FUJINON ASPHERICAL LENS SUPER EBC XF 35mm f/2 R WR ∅ 43, or XF35mmF2 R WR. Fujinon is Fujifilm's brand name for their lenses. Super EBC is Fujinon's brand of multicoating, standing for Super Electron-Beam Coated. XF is Fuji's line of good lenses for their X-mount cameras. R means it has an aperture ring.
This is an in-depth review of the Fujinon XF 35mm f/1.4 R prime lens that was released together with the Fuji X-Pro1 on September 21, 2011. Fuji specifically wanted to target professionals and enthusiasts with its X line, so it first introduced a professional-level mirrorless camera, the X-Pro1, along with three prime lenses: Fuji XF 18mm f/2, Fuji XF 35mm f/1.4 and Fuji XF 60mm f/2.4 Macro.
Minimize photographic distortions with this Fujifilm 50mm F2 lens. It has a special aspherical lens layer to prevent color fringing and spherical image distortions, and the fast, quiet stepping motor of the autofocus won't startle wildlife or draw unwanted attention. This compact, lightweight Fujifilm 50mm F2 lens is easy to carry and handle.
Going both wider and longer, with a constant maximum aperture of f/4, the XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR offers a focal length range equivalent to 24-122mm in 35mm equivalent terms. This is a very useful
Re: 23mm F2 vs 35mm F2. In reply to Chaidez • Jul 9, 2021. 1. IMO the 23/2 would better general compliment your 50/2. 35mm is kind of close to your 50mm. Robmas4229's gear list: Fujifilm X-E3 Fujifilm X-T3 Fujifilm X-T30 II Samyang 12mm F2.0 NCS CS Fujifilm XF 70-300 F4-5.6 R LM OIS WR +4 more.
