This afternoon Garmin quietly dropped a beta firmware for the existing/original Fenix 5 series (5S/5/5X) that enables Galileo support. Galileo is a different satellite network (that’s still coming online, but is largely operational already) that was announced within the Fenix 5 Plus earlier this week .
The weight of that watch is 83g. And of course, the 6X is Garmin’s biggest watch width and thickness wise. So the Enduro is definitely a larger watch, but yet, despite that, it doesn’t feel it, because the weight is so much less. The plastic FR945 comes in at 50g, so only about 11g less than the Enduro.

In the case of Garmin Connect (and this is the part that’s new this past week), it’ll open up the Course Setup window. Simply start by selecting what type of course it is.
